The Muse’s First Annual Artist Supply Swap Event

Ok artists and makers, it’s time for Spring Cleaning! Do you have arts and crafts supplies you don’t use? Brushes collecting dust in the corner of your studio, maybe a box of fabric pieces leftover from a finished project, or old tools that you don’t use but can’t bear to toss into the trash knowing they’re destined for the landfill? If the answer is yes, The Muse is here to help! We have partnered with local artist Vicki Clarkson to launch our first annual Spring Cleaning Craft Supply Swap!

On Wednesday, June 17 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm we will be hosting a gathering for local artists to bring in gently used arts/crafts supplies and exchange them for something else. It’s the perfect way to clean out your studio in a sustainable fashion! So, if you’ve been itching to try a new medium but haven’t wanted to spring for the cost of materials, this is your chance to get fresh supplies and clear out the ones you don’t use anymore.

The event will be BYOB and bring something/take something. Its also a great chance to rub elbows with fellow local creators, network, and trade tips on techniques. The event will also have a raffle where one lucky maker will take home a mystery supply bag! The event is free and open to all.

We’re also starting a hashtag for this event: #showusyourswapswag. We’d love to see what you create with your newly acquired supplies, so after the event, use this hashtag and tag The Muse on your posts so we can see your fantastic projects! We are so excited to bring together local artists for a night of mingling and creativity!
