Broadway on Harewood “The Cabaret” features Broadway music from the Golden Era to the Present.
Broadway on Harewood is a performing ensemble of musicians, singers and dancers who originally met as teens in the 1960s and 70s, performing in High School musicals in and around the Washington, DC area. Now mature adults, the BOH cast brings their enduring love and ageless exuberance to fully staged reviews, complete with costumes and choreography. Its fifteen years of family-friendly shows include material from the Great American Songbook, Opera, Pop, Country, and, of course, show tunes.
Each member of the company has distinct vocal talents and stylistic expressions. To showcase those talents, BOH and the Commodore Recording Studios in Thurmont, MD partnered to produce four volumes* of music covering every era in classical and popular music.
Between their last high school musical in 1975 and their reunion performance in 2009, company members held professional careers across a diverse spectrum before “returning to the stage” with Broadway on Harewood. Many also enjoyed professional and semi-professional careers in performing arts, music education, community theater, and show bands. “Music is Joy” is every member’s operating principle.
