OMG, Dancing Bear Toys and Games will be turning 23! Celebrate 23 years of unplugged play at the Bear! Join them for their birthday party on Saturday, September 23 from 12 pm-4 pm. Play with giant toys and games throughout the store, enjoy birthday snacks, free face painting, win prizes (including a gigantic toy), and more! The birthday bash will start off with storytime at noon featuring a gigantic book! This event is free and open to all ages.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET), the National AIDS Memorial, The Frederick Center, DISTRICT Arts, and Parlights, Inc. partnered together to bring 8 panels (1 12’x12′ block) of the AIDS Memorial Quilt to Frederick as part of MET’s dramaturgy exhibit for Angels in America Part 1: Millennium Approachs Remount & Part 2: Perestroika by award-winning Tony Kushner to provide historical context to their shows and in remembrance of the 700,000 U.S. lives lost to AIDS since the first cases were reported over 40 years ago.
