Like a lush summer landscape, Gallery 322 is filled with colorful vibrant paintings, sensitive evocative sculptures, and timeless complex assemblages. Our SUMMER SHOW reflects the joy of this playful season—dramatic skies, ocean waves crashing, beaches, picnics, fairs, and rural roads. We will be enjoying these pleasures anew as we venture out this summer, with friends and family. First Saturday 12-8pm, Exhibit running JUL 1- Aug 28, Gallery Hours 4-7 Fri. 12-5 Sat & Sun.

Join us for a combined art show with Kathryn Phebus and Sonja Mishalanie. Kathryn Phebus paints in acrylics and watercolors and loves applying color and texture to the canvas. The inspiration for her artwork comes from local scenes and landscapes, as well as from photos friends send her in hopes of inspiring a painting. Many have, but the painting really doesn’t start working until the photo is put aside and then the brushes, paint and color enliven the piece as paint is applied to the canvas. Join us on July 2nd at Gravel and Grind for the first ever Summer Daze event (2nd attempt!) where we get nostalgic playing the games that made us. Four Square, Hopscotch and Cornhole will be the games featured this time around. Usual deal, bike rentals, coffee, and yes, adult beverages available. Park and come on in to get your place to play!

For the month of July, we will be displaying the work of local painter Josh Staples. Using a variety of media, Josh’s work is inspired by both nature and pop culture. Join us on Saturday, July 2 from 2-4 pm for an artist reception where you can meet Josh, check out his work, and maybe even bring a piece home!

Join Director of Education John Lustrea on a guided walking tour of Downtown Frederick on Saturday, July 2 at 2:00 PM focused on what it was like to visit Frederick during the Civil War. Tickets are $15 and include admission to the National Museum of Civil War Medicine in addition to the walking tour. Tickets are free for Museum members, but you must still reserve your spot. Fun for the whole family! Begin your Independence Day weekend celebration at Heritage Frederick’s Ice Cream Social on Saturday, July 1 from 1pm-4pm in the Heritage Fredrick Garden. Celebrate the 40th anniversary of Cafe 611! Join us for an afternoon of music, as well as speakers to honor the evolution of the club over the past 40 years. The event is free to the public, and hors d’oeuvres, light snacks and refreshments will be available. In all, the celebration will go until about 5 p.m., as everyone is welcome to come discuss all that was, all that is and all that Jones and his family hope it will be as Cafe 611 marches toward another 40 years.
