Green Drinks Returns to Frederick County March 24th Green Drinks is a worldwide movement to connect people interested in sustainability issues. It is a loosely structured group (no officers or organizational framework) that brings together a group of people in an interesting location with food and beverage, for the purpose of networking and education. Join local distilleries and the Maryland Distillers Guild for an afternoon of sipping, sampling, and fun. The 2022 Spring Spirits Soiree features dozens of unique and locally produced distilled spirits, hand-made cocktails and small-batch non-alcoholic mixers. This afternoon of sampling and exploration will be hosted at the Art Center, a new events and arts space located in Downtown Frederick. Paired with jazzy tunes from the Shawn Dennison Trio, this art space is the perfect place to have a multi-sensory experience. Immerse yourself and taste an incredible lineup of products from local distilleries at the Spring Spirits Soiree.

Meet the Artist: Marie Riccio Featured artist Marie Riccio’s still-life paintings invite you into a quiet space of subtle color adjacent to bold color choices. Composition plays an important role in her work, drawing the eye into and around the paintings’ color spaces. In this series, she became intrigued by the properties of tissue paper. Despite its translucent nature, these papers obscure other elements, often with an unexpected visual weight.
