The Greenwood Project has partnered with Shungu to organize a coat and food drive. Items will be accepted from November 27 through December 11, and all donated items will be distributed on December 18, 12-3PM at the Lincoln Elementary Parking Lot (200 Madison St, Frederick). Join in helping those in need receive a coat and food this winter! Accepting coats, gloves, hats, sleeping bags and non-perishable food. Please wash and dry clothes prior to donating. Drop off items Thursdays through Saturdays from 10am-6pm at Shungu Gallery (125 S Carroll St).

The Frederick Arts Council (FAC) is excited to host the 2021 Holiday Art Showcase! 11AM-2PM every weekend, Nov 26 – Dec 19. Stop by the FAC Art Center located on 5 E 2nd St and experience three floors of artist craftsmanship, community activities, and programs. Acton Children’s Business Fair Kids (ages 6-17) develop a brand, create a product or service, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at our one-day marketplace. Come check out what these young entrepreneurs have to offer! We will host 35 businesses – 50 children – at the 1st annual event in Downtown Frederick on First Saturday, December 4, 2021, from 12-3pm along Carroll Creek, outside the C. Burr Artz Library.
