“Dreams During the Long Peace” Gaslight Gallery opens its doors for their Grand Opening with “Dreams During the Long Peace” – a show featuring artworks by Leigh Cortex and a spoken word performance by R. Cortez. Image is Leigh’s installation piece, “Til The Death” Leigh Cortez is both an Army veteran and spouse of an active-duty combat soldier. The experiences of military life and tattooing in military towns influenced the medium and message of her painted works. He will be showing off his newest set of fun face drinking glasses and answering any questions about getting involved with glass blowing.

Come join the Party! Evangelical Lutheran Church is holding a Block Party to celebrate the restoration work on their façade and iconic twin towers.  Stop by the church campus between 3 and 6 pm on First Saturday – November 6th, to see and hear about the restoration work involved with this historic building and enjoy free food and refreshments while there.  Everyone is welcome to see, learn and enjoy!
