Be there as the larger-than-life likeness of iconic fashion designer and Frederick native Claire McCardell is revealed for the first time! Meet the sculptor. Learn how McCardell changed the way women dress. Enjoy the new garden surrounding the bronze statue that will grace the east end of Carroll Creek Linear Park. This important addition to the community’s public art landscape is the Frederick Art Club’s gift to the City of Frederick and was made possible through the overwhelming generosity of local donors. DISTRICT Arts Presents “Wind”, a juried themed exhibition

November Events

Wind interpreted by 29 artists This exhibition features works of 29 artists that incorporate their interpretations of wind in our lives, in history, in mythology, or in a multitude of other ways. The exhibition includes paintings, photography, digital, mixed media, glass and ceramic. Best in Show ($500) and an Award of Merit ($250) were announced at 6:00pm on Saturday, October 16 on Facebook and Instagram. This exhibition is on view from October 13 through November 14. 5k run & walk with fun for the family and dogs! Come run with us, eat some local food, and drink some brews with local breweries.
