“Landscapes, Again” @ Eastside Artists’ Gallery

January Events

Local artist Doug Moulden is showing his newest sculptural landscapes. Using multiple media, Doug’s artwork is an amalgamation of rich color and texture. He feels that texture is always pleasing to the eye, a messy line is far more interesting than a clean one, and contrast is more effective at conveying emotion than color.

Black History Exhibit Opening with Oakdale High @ the Library

You’re invited to an opening reception for Oakdale High School’s Black History Exhibit Project. Experience the exhibit and hear directly about their process and findings from the eleven students and their teacher, Kate Ehrlich. The creators believe that Black History is everyone’s history and that all members of the community will benefit from reading these stories, many found through original research by the students. The informative panels are on display during the month of February at the Library.
