As we kick off Pride Month, we are thrilled to announce an exciting and colorful event in partnership with the Frederick Center. Join us as we celebrate diversity through a series of interactive workshops that will inspire and empower.
This event is proudly sponsored by the Coalition for Healthier Frederick’s Anti-Stigma Campaign from the Heart, a dedicated initiative aimed at reducing stigma around mental health. We are also grateful for the support of the Transformative Arts Project Inc., a nonprofit organization that uses the arts to break down barriers and promote mental health awareness.
The Mental Health Workgroup of the Frederick County Local Health Improvement Process (LHIP) is teaming up with Transformative Arts Project and the Frederick Center to sponsor a community-wide campaign called “From the heART: Creative expressions in mental wellness.” This campaign seeks to cultivate inclusivity and compassion within the community by harnessing the power of art to challenge societal stigmas associated with mental health. It serves as an exciting launch to Pride Month, aiming to address the stigma surrounding mental health and emphasize the transformative potential of artistic expression in fostering a healthy and diverse community.
